Most Anticipated MMOs for 2013

Here is a list with some of my most anticipated MMO games of 2013. Some of them I have tested, while others are listed here based on revealed information, history of the developer and hype. This mmo top list mirrors my personal opinion about these games and is not based in any kind of data.

6. Neverwinter

Neverwinter is developed by MMO game veteran Cryptic Studios and published by Perfect World Entertainment. It is based on the Dungeons & Dragons universe and features unique combat system and cooperative play. There will be open space, and perhaps auction house and bank, but the main contents lie in the campaign and dungeon run. You will experience the true Dungeons & Dragons in Neverwinter. Play the Open Beta for Free!

5. Blade and Soul

Developed by NC soft, Blade and Soul is a Martial Arts MMORPG with great graphics and fast paced combat gameplay. It had its official open beta test in Korea on June 21st, 2012. In China, it just ended the second closed test and stress test. It’s said that it will open the OBT in China this year. We can only hope that we’ll get more info on this title by NCsoft West cause it’s worth it and it’s quite diffirent than most released games.

4. Archeage

Brought to the west by Trion Worlds, XLGames masterpiece is one of the most anticipated  MMORPGs for 2013. It combines both thempark and sandbox features seamlessly and gets the best from both worlds. Powered by CryEngine it has some of the best graphics ever seen on the MMO space. The internet is full with gameplay videos and we’re sure it’s a triple A game. There is release date for the western client yet, but we should be having a wealth of new information in the coming months.

3. Defiance

Ever thought that an MMO game, and a TV series, could affect each other? Trion worlds will launch Defiance with the Premier of the Defiance show on SyFy. It’s an MMO 3rd pesrson shooter. Frantic combat, massive cooperative play. One of the best games in 2013, not only in MMOs but in general. Had a great time playing on the beta weekends, can’t wait for the game and the series release!

2. The Elder Scrolls Online

There is not much you can say about The Elder Scroll series. It’s something you have to play in order to feel. The creators of Morrowind, Oblivion and Skyrim are taking the next step and moving their revered RPG series to the MMO space. The Elder Scrolls Online will feature 3 faction warfare (yay!) beautifull graphics and a very deep storyline. You can check TESO’s great CGI Trailer and apply for Beta Test here. The most anticipated MMO for 2013.

1. Wildstar Online

Wildstar wasn’t originally on the list as the first info we had showed a WoW clone. But that couldn’t be further than the truth. Wildstar IS the Most Anticipated MMORPG of 2013 and with every new video that gets release by Carbine Studios and NCsoft more and more hype is built. Beautiful stylized graphics, the best animation we’ve ever seen in the genre and a lot of humor is what defines Wildstar Online. It’s a game we’ll be looking closely and can’t wait till it gets released! You can register for beta at the official website.
