Arachage might convert to Free-to-Play in Korea
According to eastern MMO site MMOCulture there are foreign reports that state that XLGames will be announcing a full conversion of the Korean version of Archeage to a free-to-play business model on June.
The Korean server is currently pay-to-play requiring a subscription, with the China and English servers’ models yet unconfirmed.
The same reports claim that while Archeage is doing great in the rankings of games most played in Korea’s internet cafes, being consistently in the top 5 games, its overall market share is still low comparing to the most established Korean MMORPGs like Aion and Blade & Soul.
Keep in mind that the above report is just a rumor, with nothing concrete at this point of time.
