DOTA 2 to be Released This Summer
After years of closed beta testing, Valve’s DOTA 2 will finally go free for the masses this summer!
Dota 2 is currently available via an early access purchase (cosmetic items + beta keys) or through one of the dozens of beta keys sitting in everyone’s Steam Inventories.
The release might not seem like a big deal since anyone that wanted to play the beta could get access to the game, chances are that there will be a huge spike in interest arround the game, especially with The International III, the biggest tournament in DOTA 2 with a $2.350.000 prize pool. (yes, that’s millions)
DOTA 2 is currently the most-played game on Steam, with more than 200.000 concurrent users at any time. Do you think it has what it takes to take down LoL?
