League of Legends coming to Mac

Riots previous attempt to bring a Mac client for their free to play MOBA failed, and was abandoned on September 2011.

But they didn’t give up, they want even more players for their extremely successful game. On their latest press release they state that a new League of Legends Mac client is on the works and available for beta testing. According to Associate Producer Steve Mieczkowski,  once it goes live, both versions of the client will receive all content, features, and bug fixes simultaneously.

The Mac client is currently playable under LoL Public Beta Environment, and it will enter open beta when the developers are satisfied and confident with the results of the PBE. You don’t have to wait for the open beta though, as you can already test it via the PBE from the official site and help the developers with feedback and submitting bugs.
