Star Citizen: $8 million in crowd-funding
Chris Roberts’ highly anticipated Space-Sim sandbox MMO breaks all the crowd-funding records and puts all others to shame. Roberts Space Industries announced that they have raised more than $8.150.000, which means that they have surpassed their kickstarter goal by over 1.5 million.
More than 140.000 gamers have pledged, and more than half a million has been gathered the last two weeks alone!
“The amount of support we are seeing from our fans is nothing short of amazing,” Roberts says. “Our backers are totally connecting with the development team and it just gets them so excited to come in to the office every day and work to make the next great space sim.”
