The War Z has changed it’s name to Infestation: Survivor Stories

The War Z had a really rocky start since it’s launch on Steam last December. After a community outbreak for not delivering advertised content, Valve removed The War Z from the Steam platform and apologized to players and even did something that they don’t often do by offering a refund to unhappy players.

After a DDoS attack, a database breach, a few disastrous community interactions made worse by problematic interviews  The War Z managed to stagger back on to Steam to achieve some stability. But the problems don’t stop here. The developer was forced to change the name of The War Z to resolve trademark issues, with the “World War Z” book and soon to be released movie starring Brad Pitt. The new name of the game is Infestation: Survivor Stories  that could still point to the book and movie, as it’s exactly avout survivor stories of the zombie apocalypse!

If you’re searching for The War Z, you’ll find it under the name of Infestation: Survivor Stories. The new name also comes with a new game update and you can check out the changes here.
