Turbine’s servers down for 40 hours and counting…
Turbine’s servers for Lord of the Rings Online, Dungeons and Dragons Online and Asheron’s Call 1 & 2 are down… A typical server maintenance went wrong and all titles are down since 6:00 a.m. on February 14th. The servers were supposed to be up after 24 hours but now it’s almost the second day that they’re offline.
Turbine posted an update on their forums and apologizes to the players for the delay. “We are working to resolve ongoing issues with our system maintenance. At this time we do not have a specific estimate for when the game servers will be available. Our goal is to make the games available as soon as possible. However we would like to advise players that the service may continue to be unavailable this evening. We will continue to provide updates as we have them.”
As a compensation to their player base, Turbine will be offering 250 Turbine Points to all players that had a VIP subscription in the last 30 days, plus extra days for every day of downtime.
